We attempt to take care of mice in three visits. The first visit is discovery where we will look for possible entry points in places like doors, utility lines, plumbing etc. – anything that goes in or out of a building or home. We will set some initial traps. The second visit occurs about three to five days after the initial visit to check traps and look for any variations in mice routes since traps have been set. The third and final visit occurs three to five days after the second visit where we will empty the traps and evaluate the situation.
Dangers of Mice Infestation
The presence of mice in your home is not just a nuisance but a serious health hazard. These rodents are carriers of diseases such as Hantavirus, Salmonellosis, and even Bubonic Plague, transmitting pathogens through their droppings, urine, or saliva. Moreover, they are notorious for causing significant damage to property by gnawing on wires, which can lead to fire hazards, and contaminating food supplies.
It’s critical to address a mice infestation promptly to avoid these risks. While the idea of these tiny pests might seem manageable, the health and safety implications are too significant to overlook.
